I got a date!

 I will go under the laser on December 30th with Dr. Williams at Vanderbilt.  

I went in for my last nutritionist visit today.  This liver diet is the pits.  I go on the 8-day liquid diet on December 22.  Talk about bad timing.  Christmas and New Year's are shot as well as my birthday.  I'm one of those lucky babies born right around Christmas - Dec 27.    the Nutritionist did give me permission to have a cupcake for my birthday this weekend though.  I thought that was sweet of her.  

On a good note,  when I started this journey in September, I weighed  324.  At my weigh-in today, I am down to 305.  I swear I just sit and cry every time I have an appointment.  The tears are partially out of sheer "proud-ness" but the other part cries because I have lived fat for so long.  It seems so easy now.  Why have I let myself struggle for so long?


Either way,  the last week of the year has always been my fav of the whole year.  To have my surgiversary in there too... well, I just won't be able to contain myself.

The pre-op diet is the pits at first, but after the first three days, it gets better!  What a great way to start the new year!!

Congrats on your surgery date, Missy!  How exciting!!!  Dr. Williams is my surgeon too and though I still have a little ways to go to get scheduled, I'm excited.

I hope Santa brings you the strength to get through that 8 day preop diet!  Savor that birthday cupcake!!!! 

Congratulations, too on the weight you've already lost.  I know that's been hard!  But it is only the beginning!!!

Congrats on your surgery date.  I know it will be tough to do your pre-op diet through christmas but it will be well worth it!!  enjoy that cupcake and we'll be saving you a seat on the losers bench.

 you know, the only saving grace to this is that christmas isn't particularly big around my house (we don't have kids and DH was raised as a Jehovah's Witness - though he isn't now).   Also, so that I can save as much of my paid time off for the surgery, I am working straight through the holiday.  As long as a bunch of people don't bring in a bunch of things, I should be okay.  

Thank you to everyone for all of your support.  DH and I were contemplating on coming to Red Robin this weekend and then I found out that I have to go back to Ohio and sing for a funeral on Saturday.  bummer   

hopefully next month.  By that time I will be so tired of being cooped up in the house, we'll have to go out!

I know right now it really seems as though it is dragging on.  But I promise, after it is over, time, you will look back on and say I DID THAT, and it wasn't that bad. That is awesome that amount of weight that you've already lost, great job!!!! It will be worth it, if you get hungry get some tropical sf popsicles and have at it. They are great tasting.
